PROGRAM EXECUTION

2002 – 2005

  • CRI’s teaching methodology being implemented in 118 schools
  • 1, 292 Heads, Deputy Heads, Teachers & Supervisors trained in Interactive Teaching and Learning Skills through 18 initial and follow up trainings.
  • 766 Classrooms KG-IV equipped with active learning material.
  • Technical assistance to teachers of all partner classrooms provided on regular basis.
  • 25,900 students benefited from child-centered practices.
  • 110 Coordinators trained in Family Involvement strategies.
  • 427 teachers and heads trained in adult literacy skills through 8 family literacy trainings.
  • 3,515 Parents learned basic literacy and math skills in 86 literacy centers.
  • 29 mentors from four provinces trained in child-centered practices.
  • 135 Faculty Members trained in Child-Centered Basic Education skills in 2 trainings. Three ready to teach courses on interactive teaching and learning practices have been introduced.
  • Enhanced Professional Capacities of 500 public school teachers in Oman.
  • 490 newly appointed English teachers of FDE given orientation in child centered practices.
  • Conducted policy seminars on Early Childhood Education in collaboration with UNESCO and Punjab Education Department.
  • Master teacher trainers used as resource person for training of special education teachers.
  • CRI’s trained public school teachers now used as master trainers by the government.
  • Collaboration with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) to train community teachers of its partner organizations in all the four provinces.
  • Training of teachers in earthquake devastated areas. Involved traumatized children in learning through interactive methodology.

2006 – To date

  • Implementation in entire school district of Islamabad Capital Territory.
  • The Interactive Teaching and Learning Methodologies implemented in 393 public schools (ICT, Karachi and Rawalpindi districts).
  • 4,153 Heads, Deputy Heads, Teachers & Supervisors equipped in Interactive Teaching and Learning skills through 85 initial and follow-up trainings .
  • 2,932 new classrooms equipped with learning material.
  • A team of 61 mentors nominated by FDE trained to monitor the quality of the program.
  • Technical assistance to teachers of all partner classrooms on regular basis.
  • 672 heads and teachers of 189 schools have been trained as family literacy trainers through 14 trainings.
  • Approximately 5,000 parents will learn basic literacy and math skills.
  • 2 faculty trainings for 25 faculty members have been trained from key public universities.
  • CRI’s ready to teach specialized courses incorporated as reference material in course outline in B.Ed and M.Ed curriculum.
  • The examination and assessment systems will be improved in Islamabad Capital Territory in consultation with FDE, according to the new interactive methodology being introduced. 
  • Selected Teachers Resource Centers of FDE will be equipped with training facilities.
  • CGN’s master teacher trainers invited as resources person by the public universities for training of B.Ed and M.Ed students.
  • CGN-P to undertake trainings of approximately 163 community school teachers in 30 schools in three earthquake affected districts of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (Bagh, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad).
  • CGN-P has started the “School Improvement Program” (SIP) in the district of Vehari. We have 98 partner schools with approximately 10, 000 beneficiary children.
